The other day i have started to read about a really interesting book from Harvard University , the psycholog Howard Gardner.
He is mentioning about brain disciplines for future.According to Howard s book 5 models of brain is explained as the model of future .
First of all he mentioned about Disciplined Mind ;

In many areas the only one competent of process can take up to ten years. Disciplined mind, continuous effort to improve knowledge in a particular subject so the person with disciplined mind will be expert as the things are getting more complicated in future.



Synthesized mind that
The one who need to know the data is gathered from different sources. Meaning that data and use objective criteria when assessing them for both him and others so that all makes sense. Information about the data, dazzling and wise to continue to rapidly increase and changes day by day because the power of integration is important synthesis.

Today, I am going to shortly talk about my summer internship that i have spent my whole summer doing that, and also briefly "Facebook Facts" that s one of the given task by the company which you might get interested in .

History and Facts about Facebook

"Facebook was launched by a student, Mark Zuckerberg, at Harvard in February 2004. At the beginning, Facebook was just a student directory, the goal of which was to provide an important information and communication services to a pre-existing offline community. In the early days of
Facebook, only users who could verify they had an .edu e-mail address for the college they attended could register. This restriction was made to ensure trust between the offline community and the online service created. Since then, Facebook has acquired over 400 million users and is the fourth largest site in the world after Google, Microsoft and Yahoo sites.

Facebook provides a social network for all regular PC Internet users and recently also mobile users.
Facebook’s statistics page offers interesting information on user profiles and engagement.
According to the statistics, more than 40 million users update their status every day, and they spend more than 6 billion minutes on Facebook every day. The average user has 130 friends on the site. The fastest growing segment is made up of people above 35 years of age. More than 70% of Facebook’s users are outside the United States4. Since Facebook has been made available as a mobile service, more than 65 million active users access Facebook through their mobile devices. This kind of growth has important implications for infrastructure and for advertisement companies.
The graph below shows that Facebook continues to grow in an extremely rapid pace. In just 14 months, Facebook has grown from 100 million to 300 million users.
At the beginning, Facebook’s business model was based upon monetizing of the social network that has been built. The total number of users was more important than interaction between a user and brand. As a result Facebook didn’t make enough money from advertising services. Even though more and more advertisers spend their money on web advertising, only few of them had decided to invest in Facebook.
This situation has changed in year 2009. Facebook’s management is expecting that revenue will grow from US$ 280-300 million to US$ 550 million in 2009."Facebook Analysis.

The popularity of Facebook games that growing everyday attracts many companies. It connects the communities by creating games that should be fun to play, allow us to play with our friends, and let us invite them. The most games are really easy to play, which does not require a terribly rehearsals. The game can be short or longer lasting. It should impress the users with visual effects and sound. Games effects are also important within the game. The different language groups may also have a large impact on gaining international identity for company.

Experiences:

Till now i have shared some statistical facts .Now it s better to talk about working life for students.

In my point of view, It s really hard to be successful on online gaming for a small company .

But the good points are, we have had really great time in Finnish working life in the prospective of joining many meetings and working as a team and also my boss was very kind to help to find out the issues that I was searching for. We have had many meetings with experts and I saw the real working life environment truly for online marketers and game companies .

I was not professionally trained in my school about these social platform , gaming but I was generally knowing what paths should I follow to learn my objectives with the help of my education.

Maybe It could be better for our school to catch up with web 2.0 and teach us courses such as Social media, Social gaming and other elements of this businesses.

Summary;

To sum up, it was really useful for my future career to learn these important issues with a help of my employer. Now I learn some and I have a long way to go in this competitive environment to improve myself. The important part is that I have learned and try to improve company in my working tasks and I believe I have been really useful for company and company has taught me

a lot . I am and they are satisfied with these practical training and I know We will keep on cooperating with company.

Memory Improvement and Games

A guy was invited to some old friends' home for dinner.
His buddy preceded every request to his wife by endearing terms, calling her Honey, My Love, Darling, Sweetheart, Pumpkin, etc.

He was impressed since the couple had been married almost 70 years, and while the wife was off in the kitchen he said to his buddy:

"I think it's wonderful that after all the years you've been married, you still call your wife those pet names."

His buddy hung his head. "To tell you the truth," he said, "I forgot her name about ten years ago."

Eventhough it sounds funny for us , the current situation seems pretty serious for today and future .According to researches ;

There are over 230.000 people suffering from memory related problems in Finland, and, 110.000 of them have a diagnosis of, for example, dementia. In the western countries the amount of elderly people is growing and, therefore, the number of diagnosed cases of dementia is growing as well. That means there's a higher need for institutional health care. For instance, the number of people who have Alzheimer (disease that causes about 60 % of cases of dementia) will triple in 30 - 40 years.

Better memory can be achieved by neuropsychological rehabilitation, but today it is an option only for people with difficult disabilities. Many people suffering from mild amnesia are not part of a rehab, even though it is very important thing to keep their ability to work. (Sirkku Määttä, Työeläkelehti 2/2008,Finland)



There are over 110.000 people suffering from persistent symptoms of brain damage. The majority of brain damages are due to different accidents. Approximately 50.000 people in Finland have a diagnosis of brain bloodstream impairment. The most common reason for brain bloodstream is a stroke. Today people pay more attention to physical wellness and proper diet but often forget to take care of their mental health. The brain functions properly only when used constantly. Memory gets better while practiced and dementia can be prevented with regular exercises. Exercising your brain enhances your memory and prevents memory disorders and dementia. Hobbies and activities that you like enhance the bloodstream in your brain, which also boosts up your metabolism. New experiences and studying are great for keeping your mind fresh.
People tend to do activities they are good at, even though it would be good to practice things that feel more difficult. The cornerstone of memory maintenance is a wide variety of stimulation. You can maintain your memory by doing crossword puzzles, sudokus, mental arithmetics etc. You can save your memory by trying to only insert the most important things in there. Basically, It establishes a framework for product strategy
Generally ,It s the CSV that initiates the high level activities to replace or add a new product platform without a strategic vision platform strategy it s unguided
it focuses the effort of those responsible on identifying new product opportunities new product opportunities Because CSV indicates the direction to consider more appropriate opportunities and we begin to know where to look .It alligns the other strategies and initiatives .It s a primary point to align strategies in today s world that must aligned.it guides technology strategy by setting agenda for technological development .it guides product development.Designers are able to make decisions with a clear strategic vision.It sets expectations for customer employees and investors and communicate them .

A good core strategic vision has to focus sufficiently,a broad vision can be too general

It has to be clarified if a core strategic vision is too ambitigous than different managers have different integration some additional explanation needed for every problem that we face through the process .Astartegic vision has to answer at least three question .Where do we want to go in a short and long term ?How will we get there ? Why will we be successfull ?In fact, it s all easy to answer all those questions with obtaining an impossible vision .CSV is only as good as it s able to be implemented .And we should not forget this aspects only give us the beginning .
